Bugs SHIELD is powered by batteries that last approximately 10 months; you can check whether your Bugs SHIELD is functioning at any time simply by pressing the test button and checking that the internal LED flashes: if it does not flash, it needs to be replaced. Constantly using the test button may cause the battery to run down more quickly.

However, so you won't forget and risk leaving {nome_animale}’s bed unprotected against ticks and fleas, in 9 months we will send an e-mail to {email} reminding you to check that your Bugs SHIELD is still active. At the tenth month, we will contact you a second, and last time, reminding you that it needs to be replaced.
